w00t! For a first review! I love stating my opinion…and hopefully you guys will love to read it.
Just so ya know, our reviews are going to cover everything widgets, techie-geekie shtuff, equipment, and just good for the business soul wonderment.
I ran across Learn Vest a few weeks ago and have since fallen completely head over heals infatuated with it.
First: A little background on me and math.
Math and I hung out a lot when I was young. We went to school together. Ate lunch together. Even had a few classes together.
That is…until the 7th grade. The 7th grade is when it all came crashing down. Math decided it was better than me. It started hanging out with the smart kids. The cool kids. The kids with Ti-83‘s.
I…had been bestie dumped.
I moved on, though. I found a new best friend. Books. It’s been almost 16 years and Books and I still talk everyday. I think…I am love.
So, as you can see, Math and I don’t get along. Math is a backstabbing do…well…I don’t have to say it.
I would love to say that I’ve gotten over him.
I would love to say that I’ve gotten over him. I would love to say that I never think about him. But every year, without fail, tax season comes along. Every week I update the calendar with new dates and meetings. And every day there is a constant reminder in my mailbox that I have a bill to pay.
With LearnVest, a website operated by Chase Bank, women can now organize their bills, income, and receipts in an incredibly easy to read way. In fact, LearnVest makes your bills almost…pretty (if you were reeeeally drunk).
When you first sign in to LearnVest, you are taken to the “My Learn Vest” page which breaks down what your net worth is. You know…as a whole. It’s just a wham bam, thank you mam way of putting it. No…”Let’s break this down in black and white…”. Just…”Yeah…if you died today, this is what you would be worth.”
When you click the “View All Accounts” button, it gives you a breakdown of WHY you are worth that much. It lists your bank accounts, your credit cards, your loans, etc. It’s aaaaall there. But at least it’s all there in pretty colors!!!
When you click “Financial Inbox” at the top of the screen, you get an even MORE awesome breakdown of your accounts. They break down what was spent on your cards and where. Kinda like your paper statement, virtual statement or that statement you husband made about those tacker “mom” jeans you went to dinner in laster week.
Clicking the “Budgeting Tool” at the top (this is my favorite part…eeeeeee…..), you can totally give yourself a monthly budget! Did you look at what you spent last month and realize that you seriously overspent on stripy socks? Well…now you can create a budget folder for stripy socks and keep track of your obsession!! Of course, LearnVest doesn’t STOP you from buying…so ask yourself before each purchase if these are an absolute must have.
There is also this little mini section where you can add in your savings goals. THIS DOES ALL THE CALCULATING FOR YOU!!!! O….M…..G.
After you’ve entered all your information and are ready to understand a little more, you can get tackle the LearnVest “learn more” section or even get tackled by a LearnVest representative in a one-on-one financial session.
So pretty up your finances
…and for Archimedes’ sake, make friends with math! The grudge has gone on too long.
