1/16/2013 – Seattle Meetup: Self Critique and Building a Portfolio -
How do you look at an image and KNOW when it captures something special?
What’s even MORE difficult…how do you look at YOUR OWN images and decide which ones will push your portfolio to the brink of awesome??
At our fourth meetup, we are going to discuss:
Critiquing your own work, including:
composition
final editing
expression of your subject
lighting of the subject in your image
does your image tell a story?
Building a portfolio:
Putting together various portfolios for your different work
the order of your images
when to take an image out
the appropriate size of your portfolio
telling a story with your images
having a cohesive feel to all of your work

ONE form of social media for personal use is easy peasy lemon squeezy. But HOW ON EARTH does a business juggle 3-5 social media platforms at one time???
Not only THAT, but how do you know which social media’s are best?
At this meetup, Josh and I will cover:
*The business vs. personal definition of social media
*The various types of social media available to small business
- *StumbleUpon
- *Flickr
- *Vimeo
- *YouTube
- and more.
*How to most effectively use social media in your business to get more traffic to your website.
*How to bring out your personality via your chosen social medias.
*How to use your chosen social medias to stand apart from your competition.
Josh and I use various social medias to garner around 500 views a day to our blog and website. We will be showing exactly where we get our traffic from and how we use social media to build a following and grow our blog views.

3/9/2013 – Online Lightroom and Photoshop course – This is a biggie!! Josh and I are hosting our first big workshop of the year…and we thought we’d start 2013 off with a BANG! Join us for an online workshop on file organization, basics and advanced Lightroom techniques, and finally basic and advanced Photoshop techniques! We’ll show you how to edit to build portfolio that clients and magazine editors alike with go crazy for.

3/13/2013 – Seattle Meetup: Client Meetings and How to Book Almost Every Time -
THIS is going to be a good one!
Josh and I are going to be going over our exact (and very unique) method of meeting with wedding clients and booking them almost every time. Not only does this method impress your clients, but it cuts down extensively on the amount of work you have to do behind the scenes AND gives your business FREE advertising!!
WHAAAAAT???
In addition to cluing you in on our master plan, we will also be covering:
*How to recognize your perfect client the second you meet them.
*What to bring to your first meeting.
*What questions to ask your potential client.
*How to show confidence from beginning to end.
*How to handle surprise questions during your meeting.
This meeting topic is SUPER exciting to both Josh and I, so for this meeting only, we are upping the attendance level!! Still, you should ONLY RSVP if you know you can make it.
